Come ready to shoot, hair & makeup ready, shine-free, lint-free, clothes on. I'll be shooting and will not have time to advise on your outfits in the studio. A professional steamer, iron, makeup stand, restrooms, lint-rollers, hangers, rack, coffee and water are available.
WHAT WE'LL SHOOT
10 power minutes in front of the backdrop that makes the most sense for your color palette and vibe. Edgy moods will get something darker; commercial will get a color - in many cases I'll shoot you on a neutral like brown, beige, grey and color swap in editing to match your hair+skin+eyes+shirt
Our main goal is 2 winning expressions from a whole range of happy/neutral/dramatic; face center/left/right but our hope is that we can get you to create a range of expressions you can use for various audition submissions.
WHAT YOU GET
I'll email you a gallery of low quality JPEGS, unedited straight from the camera for you to review your EXPRESSIONS. Choose your favorites and send me a screenshot with the image numbers. I will then finish batch editing them across over 30 quality parameter including teeth whitening, skin softening and background adjustments plus cropping each photo to perfection.
If you want to keep more than 5-6 images @ $15 each, I'd buy the set for $100. Your final images will be 330ppi of high resolution data for web use and printing but only 1.5MB in file size keeping it small enough for all casting sites.
If you want individual hand brushing or spot healing - we will have to evaluate the extent of retouching and I will quote you a price for it.
WHAT TO WEAR
Your outfit will depend on what you want to use your photo for.
If you're new and not sure - keep it simple and wear an EXCELLENT FITTING and flattering shirt with a nice color. DO NOT WEAR WHITE/CREAM/YELLOW/PEACH.
If you need a Commercial image - wear jeans and shirt that's giving "happy customer / homeowner or professional"
If you want a Dramatic image - wear a darker color shirt or layer that lean into the vibe you're going for. Try to cover up cleavage ladies!
HOW TO POSE
Practice those smiles, gazes and face angles IN THE MIRROR!! Just like dancers know how their bodies feel when they make dancing shapes - the acting happens on your face and actors/professionals should have as much a command of how your face feels when you're making expressions. Your face is your tool and your marketing!
For 3/4 bodys shots - you should be able to cross your arms, stand with "speaker/host/slate" hands, thumbs hooked in a pocket. PRACTICE IN THE MIRROR XOXOXO
